WASTE TRANSPORTATION COMPANY REDUCES COSTS
Fleet of waste company trucks uses liners to reduce washout costs.
BACKGROUND
A well-established national waste transportation company was looking for an easy
way to reduce washout costs, reduce hauling downtime and find a cost-effective
method of protecting the beds on a new fleet of trucks. The company was
investigating several temporary and permanent options, including disposable
polyethylene liners, spray-in liners and oil-based coatings in order to find the right
solution. Their requirements were low cost, longevity, reduction of wash-out time and
expense and protection of the beds.
OUTCOME
The company found that PacTec, Inc.’s clear polyethylene liners offered the most costeffective solution. Some of the reasons included short delivery time from one of
PacTec’s 7 distribution points, individually boxed liners making install easy/convenient
for drivers, and the fitted shape protecting every inch of the containers. The liners
worked very well for drivers and eliminated all wash-out expenses. Because of this, the
company was able to increase their workload and become more profitable.
